The founder of MTA, Marcus Thomas, started his company in 1985 with the goal of providing minority students with the tools needed to prepare for college. Realizing that too many minority students were not prepared to enter, finance, and excel in college, Mr. Thomas created Marcus Thomas & Associates (MTA) to provide the following services:

• Tours of Historically Black Colleges

Guided by a management team and consultants with over 100 years of experience, MTA has placed over 500 students in colleges and universities nationwide with financial aid awards that exceed $20 million.
